Deployment Spec

A portable description of what a stack needs: apps, load, options, resources and the profile versions behind them. It lives entirely in the link.

How it works

  • A Deployment Spec is created by the Stack Sizer (in preparation) and opened on this page.
  • It is versioned (format v1), so links keep working when the format grows.
  • Everything is in the part of the link after #, which browsers don't send to servers. We never receive it.
  • Spec links are not indexed by search engines.
